German salary increase: United shooting star before extension

Kobbie Mainoo is one of the shooting stars at Manchester United. Now he is about to get an extension – including a significant salary increase.

According to the “Manchester Evening News”, Manchester United and Kobbie Mainoo are close to reaching an agreement on an early extension of the cooperation, which is still dated until 2027. The 19-year-old is seen as a key player in Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s project.

The people involved with the English record champions agree that Mainoo should therefore be tied down for the long term. The ten-time England international is set to see a significant increase in his salary. Mainoo is currently only expected to earn 1.25 million euros a year and is therefore at the bottom of the salary chain at United.

Mainoo established himself as a key player in the first team last season and played in all four of England’s knockout games at Euro 2024 this summer. In the current season, his starting rate in the Premier League is 100 percent.
