Two men were injured in a drive-by shooting after buying beer in southwest Houston

HOUSTON — Police are searching for a group of people who shot two men in a drive-by shooting in southwest Houston.

According to police, two men went to buy beer at 1 a.m. Saturday.

They were walking back to their home at Club Creek Drive and Country Creek Drive when a car with several people in it pulled up next to them, according to police.

“They yelled at them, ‘Hey, we run things here,’ and started shooting at them,” Lt. Willkens.

The group escaped.

An 18-year-old man was shot in the hand and leg, and a 28-year-old man was shot twice in the upper body.

According to police, the two men were taken to the hospital and are expected to recover.

The shooting may be gang-related.
