Shawn Mendes brings film to the cinema

Canadian singer Shawn Mendes (26) has announced a special surprise for his fans: On November 14th, his concert film “Shawn Mendes: For Friends & Family Only (A Live Concert Film)” will be shown for one evening in select cinemas worldwide. In the film, the singer presents his new album “Shawn”, which will officially be released on November 15th. He pushed back the date for his album release. The concert featured in the film was recorded at the historic Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, New York, where Shawn performing the new songs live for the first time, like Just Jared reported.

In addition to the music, the film also offers a look behind the scenes: Shawn tells personal stories and also discusses what inspired him for each individual song. The event is an opportunity Shawn to be seen in a completely different light before the album officially hits the market. The exact locations and times of the film will be announced along with advance ticket sales on October 24th.
