1TB data leak reveals details about the console and new Pokémon title

It is currently considered certain that Nintendo is already working on the Switch 2 and plans to unveil it by April 2025. However, exact details are not known, nor are the first potential game titles that could appear exclusively for the new console. But now a massive leak is causing a sensation on the Internet, which contains around 1TB of data from the Game Freak developer studio.

10th Pokémon generation, Netflix series and multiplayer title leaked

Game Freak is largely responsible for the Pokémon games for Nintendo’s consoles and most recently published Pokémon Crimson and Crimson for Nintendo Switch. Various secret information and confidential files have now been made public through a hacker attack, revealing, among other things, the next generation of Pokémon and the code name of the Nintendo Switch 2:

• The 10th generation of Pokémon will be called “Gaia” at Game Freak and the associated game will be released in versions K and N. The focus of the title is on Greece as a setting.
• It is not entirely certain whether the next big offshoot of the Pokémon series will appear for both the Nintendo Switch 2 and its predecessor. A release on the Switch 2 should already be certain, while Game Freak has already tested the game on the Switch.
• The Nintendo Switch 2 is codenamed “Ounce”.
• Game Freak is working with ILCA on a multiplayer Pokémon codenamed “Synapse”, the gameplay of which is said to be based on Splatoon.
• A live-action Pokémon series is being created at Netflix, the first season of which will consist of eight episodes.
• Pokémon Legends: ZA, planned for a release in 2025, should already be completely playable.
