Knox, MO – Two-vehicle crash on Dupont Avenue east of Greensburg

Knox, MO (October 14, 2024) – On October 12th at approximately 3:00 p.m., a two-vehicle accident occurred on Dupont Avenue, approximately three miles east of Greensburg. The incident prompted a response from local emergency services, including TPR Smith and the Baring Fire Department.

Preliminary reports indicate the accident involved a 1996 Toyota Tacoma and a 2005 Ford Freestyle. According to the investigation, the Toyota Tacoma, driven by 24-year-old Aden L. Triplett of Quincy, Illinois, crossed the center line of the road and struck the Ford Freestyle head-on. The driver of the Ford, 53-year-old Terry A. Mallett of Baring, MO, suffered moderate injuries as a result of the collision.

Emergency responders took Mallett to Scotland County Hospital via Lewis County Ambulance for medical treatment. Damage to the Ford Freestyle was extensive, while the Toyota Tacoma sustained moderate damage. Both vehicles were removed from the scene of the accident by their respective owners.
