The Swiss was in action with the LA Kings on Columbus Day on Monday. Nico Hischier also scored twice for New Jersey.

What a spectacle in Ottawa! When the LA Kings visited the Senators, the fans were treated to a lot: 15 goals, overtime – and in the end a home win. The Senators were only able to take the lead for the first time in the 50th minute thanks to Josh Norris’ goal to make it 7:6 in the power play. Norris was also the match winner after 56 seconds in overtime with his 8:7.

LA striker Kevin Fiala can only console himself with a small personal success, the Eastern Swiss player made it 1-0 (8th minute), and he was also responsible for the Kings’ 5-4 win after 37 minutes. For Los Angeles it was the second defeat in overtime.

Nico Hischier, a second Swiss player, was successful in the NHL on Monday. The captain of the New Jersey Devils scored the final score in the 3-0 win against Utah in the 51st minute and also set up Seamus Casey’s 1-0 goal at the start of the middle third. Timo Meier and Jonas Siegenthaler also played for the Devils with 17 minutes of ice time each. This is the Devils’ fourth win in their fifth game of the season.
