Gas Leak Reported Near Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital; Roads in the Mission District are closed

According to the San Francisco Fire Department, a gas leak was reported Tuesday morning near Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital.

The department initially sent out an alert just before 10 a.m. about the gas leak in the area of ​​25th and Hampshire streets.

San Francisco Fire later confirmed that Hampshire St. and Potrero St. were closed between the 23rd and 25th. SF Muni routes 33 and 48 will be rerouted.

Around 12:15 p.m The fire department confirmed that the natural gas leak had been closed. Area residents have been allowed to return to their homes and businesses as PG&E continues to work on the incident.

While 24th St. was still closed between Potrero St. and York St. and 23rd St. to 25th St. remained closed, pedestrians were allowed to use the sidewalks.
