EA Sports FC 25: Title Update 3 is huge and available to download now

The third title update for Electronic Arts’ soccer game EA Sports FC 25 is now available for download.

At least that applies to the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game.

Title Update 3 is expected to be released “soon” on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Nintendo Switch.

In any case, the official patch notes show a lot of changes that affect, among other things, the gameplay.

Among other things, the width of the defensive line has been increased when you use a formation with five defenders.

Work has also been done on the AI’s decision-making when it comes to venturing into open space. Further AI improvements concern the recognition of offside positions, and priority should now be given to passing instead of dribbling when building up the game.

Gameplay:

Made the following changes:

• Reduced accuracy of first time lobbed through passes, even when performed at extreme angles.
• This change is most noticeable among players with high passing skills.
• Potential accuracy of Trivelas greatly reduced.
• Significantly increased defensive line width for 5-defender formations.
• Reduced potential accuracy of driven passes.
• Increased the frequency of attack runs for AI players in the following roles: Shadow Striker, Inside Forward Attack, Inside Forward Roaming, Wide Playmaker Attack, and Wingbacks in scenarios with open space in front of them.
• Improved AI player decision making when considering diagonal runs into open terrain and runs into nearby open terrain.
• Improved accuracy of shots in situations where the player is not under pressure and generally has a clear view of the goal, including 1v1 situations and open goals.
• Improved AI center back decision making when attempting to provide a safe option for a pass.
• Improved AI player detection of offside situations.
• The CPU AI will try to give more priority to passing instead of dribbling in the build-up game.
• The speed of some slide animations has been reduced.
• Slightly increased distance accuracy.
• Reduced ground pass and through pass ball speed in wet weather.

EA Sports FC 25 has been available since September 27, 2024 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
