According to insider reports, EA Sports UFC 6 is in development, with a planned release in 2025. EA would like to return to the two-year release cycle after UFC 5’s unusual three-year gap in order to continuously develop the series and the fan base to keep you happy. However, there is a possibility that the release will be pushed back to 2026 if development takes longer than expected.

Mixed reactions and EA’s promise of more updates

UFC 5 was released in October 2023, for the first time after a break of over three years. Reviews of the game were mostly positive, but fans expressed disappointment with the repetitive career mode and the lack of many well-known UFC fighters on the roster. The Deluxe Edition featured boxing legends like Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali, but there was criticism that they used the same animations as modern MMA fighters. Based on fan feedback, EA promised more communication between developers and players and released regular updates. New fighters have been added to make the game more interesting. This active support may soon end as EA is now focused on UFC 6.

EA is returning to the two-year release rhythm
