“Well, I had gotten a call from Sharon and being Sharon, she actually managed to find me,” he told author Martin Popoff, according to Loudwire. “She tracked my phone number because I swear maybe a handful of people had my phone number. Somehow she called me at home and told me that Ozzy was having problems with Zakk and that they were looking for a replacement for him and if so, I would be interested in playing some festivals and possibly the next record too.”

While Lee said at the time he was “interested,” there was an issue that needed to be resolved before a reunion.

“I can’t let sleeping dogs lie,” he told Popoff. “I said if we move forward, I want to solve the only problem I had from the start. I said I’d like to have my name on the songwriting credits for ‘Bark At The Moon’.”

Lee had claimed that he was not given proper credit for the songs he claimed to have written for the album.

“I said if we get over this we can continue to talk about whether I can do it or not,” he explained. “And [Sharon] She said she would call me back the next day, but she didn’t. So I took that as a no.”
