Teen arrested in fatal shooting of another teen in Rotella Park north of Denver

Adams County sheriff’s deputies arrested a juvenile on Wednesday who was accused of this Shooting and killing of another teenager on the weekend in Rotella Park. Officers rushed to the park at 1824 Coronado Parkway around 11:18 p.m. Saturday.

When they arrived, they found a young man suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. Despite life-saving measures, he died a short time later. Another teenager was found with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was treated and released.

Investigators said the incident began as a physical disturbance. After days of investigation, officers arrested the teen on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated assault and illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile.
