Ranking Wisconsin’s five remaining games by difficulty

Ranking Wisconsin’s five remaining games by difficulty

Wisconsin has beaten Purdue and Rutgers in the last two weeks by a combined score of 94-13. They face a potential trap game on the road this week against Northwestern, then it’s going to be very hard and very fast with five games against teams with an overall record of 25-6.

6. vs. Northwestern (October 19 in Evanston)

This week will be Wisconsin’s easiest game left on the schedule, but that doesn’t mean they can’t lose. With a blowout road win over Maryland last week, Northwestern proved they are always dangerous. This is a game the Badgers must win.

5. vs. Minnesota (November 29 in Madison)

The fact that a rivalry game against an improving Gophers team is the second-easiest game remaining shows how tough Wisconsin’s schedule is. Minnesota is finding some traction with two straight Big Ten wins and the Badgers can’t overlook their biggest rival at home.

4. vs. Nebraska (November 23 in Lincoln)

Nebraska is 5-1 this season, with its only loss coming in overtime against Illinois. Wisconsin will likely be the underdog heading into Memorial Stadium, but the Cornhuskers will be fresh off a road trip to USC the previous week, so it’s a game they’re more than capable of winning.

3. vs. Iowa (November 2 in Iowa City)

Iowa started to find its offense last week with 40 points against Washington. They continue to improve every week and a Nov. 2 game in Iowa City is a tall order for anyone in the country. Wisconsin will have to do its best to pull off an upset.

2. vs. Penn State (October 26 in Madison)

Next week’s contest at Camp Randall Stadium against Penn State appears to be a potential opportunity for Luke Fickell and his staff to transform the program. Although the Nittany Lions are currently ranked No. 3 in the country, they look vulnerable.

1. vs. Oregon (November 16 in Madison)

Oregon has appeared to be the best team in the Big Ten so far this season. Wisconsin will likely need an A+ game to beat the Ducks, but the fact that this game is in Madison gives Badgers fans a glimmer of hope for a possible upset.
