Butner public safety

On October 5, PSO M. Dominguez arrested Mary Ann Gore, 44, of Durham, on an outstanding warrant for embezzlement. Gore was issued a $10,000 secured bond by Magistrate RR Roberts Jr. and lodged in the Granville County Detention Center.

On October 6, a break-in of a motor vehicle was reported on West Lyon Station Road. The suspect(s) got into an unlocked motor vehicle and stole a firearm.

On Oct. 7, a theft was reported on East Lyon Station Road. As a result of the incident, PSO J. A Mennella arrested Samuel Hogan Rose-Williams, 24, of Creedmoor and charged him with theft. Williams was given a $500 secured bond by Magistrate CP Bostic and lodged in the Granville County Detention Center.

On October 7, PSO JA Mennella arrested Kirk Vernard Scales Jr., 35, of Winston-Salem and charged him with possession of Schedule II. Scales was given a $7,000 secured bond by Magistrate CP Bostic and was booked into the detention center of Granville County.

Creedmoor Police Department

On September 16, a case of embezzlement was reported by an employee who ordered parts and sold them to employees. Austin Hunter Smith, 29, of Wake Forest, was arrested and held on $20,000 bond. Smith was booked into the Granville County Detention Center on Oct. 10.

On October 11, Creedmoor Police received a call that was deemed unfounded.

Granville County Sheriff’s Office

On Oct. 13, Tyron Shawnte Bobbitt, 37, of Oxford, was charged with communicating threats with bond set at $2,000. Bobbitt made bail and was released on October 14.

On October 13, Herman Daniel, 47, of Oxford, was arrested in Franklin County for driving with a suspended license, expired registration and no insurance. No deposit was listed in the booking report. Daniel made an undisclosed bond and was released on October 13th.

On Oct. 13, Andrew M. Barton, 40, of Stovall was charged with assault on a female, assault on a government official and resisting an officer. Bail was set at $5,000.

On Oct. 15, Calvin Fields, 34, no address listed, was arrested in Warren County for violating a court order. Bail was set at $718 cash, which was paid to the judge on October 15.
