Liam Payne’s final videos before his death were happy

The music world was hit with tragic news yesterday (October 16) when former One Direction member Liam Payne died aged 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina. Before his unexpected death, Payne appeared to be enjoying his time in the country, as seen in videos (viewable here), he announced just hours before his death.

On Snapchat, Payne talked about his admiration for a painting he likes, horseback riding and playing polo. In another clip, he talked about a “beautiful day here in Argentina” as he had breakfast with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy. As Sky News points out, the videos appear to have been filmed earlier in the week before being released yesterday.

Payne’s death comes at a time when he apparently had a few things to look forward to. Back in March, he released the final single of his life, “Teardrops,” perhaps in preparation for a new solo album, although one hasn’t been announced yet. In August it was announced that he would take on the role of judge Building the banda new Netflix reality competition show hosted by Backstreet Boys member AJ McLean. In addition to Payne, Kelly Rowland from “Destiny’s Child” and Nicole Scherzinger from “Pussycat Dolls” were named as jurors.
