Undetermined death at SAIT is under investigation

Police are investigating after a body was found in a student dorm at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Calgary.

Officials said police were called to the college at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday.

There are no further details about the victim, but police believe there is no threat to public safety.

“At this time, the death remains unsolved and homicide investigators are working to determine whether the death is criminal,” police said in a news release.

“Investigators are currently speaking with witnesses and working to notify next of kin.”
