Last year’s finalist Daniil Medvedev also canceled for Vienna

After defending champion Jannik Sinner, who was only named again at the last ATP Masters 1000 tournament of the year in Paris-Bercy, last year’s finalist is also out of the 50th anniversary edition of the Erste Bank Open in Vienna. Daniil Medvedev had to withdraw from the Stadthalle on Thursday evening due to a persistent shoulder injury.

“I have a lot of positive memories from the tournament. “So it’s a real shame that I can’t compete, but I will definitely play in Vienna again next year,” said Medvedev, the 2022 Vienna winner.
