Child hospitalized after shooting in Prince George’s County

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News now) – Prince George’s County said a child was taken to the hospital after a shooting Wednesday.

According to the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD), on October 16, at approximately 6:45 p.m., officers received a call about a shooting in the 4000 block of Saint Barnabas Road.

Police there said they found no evidence of a shooting. Instead, officers found a vehicle with a broken window.

Police told DC News Now that a small child was injured by the broken glass and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The reason for the shooting is still under investigation.
