Both the Broncos (3-3) and Saints (2-4) will be looking for redemption after suffering humiliating home losses last Sunday. For Denver, a three-game winning streak ended with the 23:16 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. New Orleans, meanwhile, suffered its fourth straight loss with a 51-27 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Check out a complete look at NFL action in Week 7, including schedule, predictions, previews, TV info and more.

BRONCOS – SAINTS matchup preview

Denver quarterback Bo Nix is hoping to continue making progress after a slow start to his rookie season. The 12th overall pick out of Oregon put up solid numbers for the second straight game, completing 19 of 32 passes for 216 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Chargers. His favorite target was Courtland Sutton (21 rec., 277 yards, 2 TDs), and last Sunday he finally found his former college teammate Troy Franklin for his first touchdown in the pros.

But Nix can also do it with his feet – he is the team’s second-leading rusher with 180 yards and three touchdowns. And running back Javonte Williams should be able to find some wiggle room against the Saints’ defense, which ranks 32nd overall and gave up a whopping 277 yards on the ground against the Bucs a week ago.

New Orleans counters with its own rookie quarterback in Spencer Rattler. The fifth-round pick from South Carolina was forced into action when starter Derek Carr suffered an oblique injury on Oct. 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Rattler started strong in his NFL debut, but then came back down to earth and finished the game with 243 yards on 22-of-40 passing, with a touchdown and two interceptions while three starters in the field for most of the game Offensive lineman and top receiver Chris Olave were missing. Both Olave and Rashid Shaheed, the other starter, are questionable against Denver. That’s potentially good news for the Broncos since All-Pro cornerback Pat Surtain II is out with a concussion.

The Saints will have to rely on running back Alvin Kamara if they want to have a chance against the league’s No. 9 defense. Kamara, No. 3 in the league in total yards from scrimmage (666) with seven touchdowns, is certainly capable.

BRONCOS – SAINTS Recap of the last game

Denver holds a 9-3 lead over New Orleans in the all-time series between the two franchises. The Broncos are a 2.5-point favorite.

Broncos: Lost at home to the Chargers 23-16 after falling behind 23-0.

Saints: Lost at home to the Buccaneers 51-27 as the defense gave up 594 yards.

BRONCOS – SAINTS Players to keep an eye on

Payton is the all-time winningest head coach in Saints history with a 152-89 regular season record and a Super Bowl championship.
