The Saints are losing Rashid Shaheed for a season due to a knee injury

Saints wide receiver Rashid Shaheed’s season is over.

The The Saints placed Shaheed on injured reserve They were reportedly still hoping that surgery would reveal a relatively minor knee injury. Instead, according to multiple reports, doctors performed a meniscus repair and concluded Shaheed would need four to six months to recover.

We’re less than four months away from the Super Bowl, and that’s the end of Shaheed’s season.

This is a big disappointment because Shaheed’s season has started brilliantly. He has 20 catches for 349 yards and three touchdowns and also leads the NFL with an average of 15.9 yards on punt returns and a solid 28.5 yards on kickoff returns.

Originally an undrafted rookie out of Weber State in 2022, Shaheed has developed into a key playmaker for the Saints. You now have to wait until 2025 for his next big appearance.
