Immigration, Populism and the Far Right | migration

Following the riots – fueled by misinformation and the far right – the debate over immigration, racism and social cohesion in the UK has returned to center stage.

Were the riots a symptom of deep-rooted racism in British society or should the blame, as Matthew Goodwin suggests, be placed on the government’s “mass immigration” policy?

Matthew Goodwin is a visiting professor at the University of Buckingham and author of six books including: Values, Voice and Virtue: The New British Politics and Revolt on the Right.
