Microsoft has released the latest Windows 11 build with build number 22635.4371 under KB504498 to members of the Windows Insider Channel. This new version includes some improvements that Snap Layouts apps are recommended for, as well as some changes to Narrator. It also contains some bug fixes

Here is the changelog:

Changes and improvements will be gradually rolled out in the Beta channel when the option is enabled

[Snap]

  • We’re trying out a behind-the-scenes change to improve which apps are recommended for snapping into Snap layouts. Try snapping with different apps and let us know if you see any improvements in the suggested apps.

[Narrator]

  • We’ve added a new keyboard shortcut “Narrator Key + Ctrl + X” to copy what the narrator last spoke to the clipboard. It follows the pattern of using Narrator Key + X, which repeats the last spoken sentence out loud and is a good way to memorize similar key combinations. You can use these shortcuts to review and copy what the narrator spoke. This is useful if you want to quickly copy some content, descriptions or codes/numbers for use.
  • The narrator now automatically reads the contents of an email in the new Outlook app, similar to classic Outlook.

Fixes that will be gradually rolled out in the Beta channel when the option is enabled

[File Explorer]

  • Did some work to get the search box in File Explorer to no longer extend past the end of the window.

[Narrator]

  • We fixed a performance issue where Narrator would become slower after 15 minutes of continuous use with a single application. If you continue to experience performance delays, report this via the Feedback Hub.
  • Fixed an issue where Narrator would add an additional “contains style” announcement when the focus was on text that has style attributes such as bullets, numbers in applications such as Microsoft Edge, Teams, Outlook, etc.
  • Fixed an issue where some dialogs in Narrator would not adopt the 200% text scaling setting in Windows.
