KB5044400 Windows 11 24H2 [Manueller Download] 26120.2130 appeared in the Dev channel

Another week has passed and Microsoft has made KB 5044400 available for Dev Insiders to download. The update increases the version number to Windows 11 24H2 26120.2130. In the start menu, all apps are now also “All”.

We’re starting to introduce a new on-screen gamepad keyboard layout in Windows 11, adding the ability to use the Xbox controller for navigation and typing. These include key accelerators (example: X key for backspace, Y key for spacebar), and the keyboard keys have been vertically aligned for a better controller navigation pattern.

Known issues with KB5044400

Corrections and improvements through KB5044400

  • Fixed an issue for a small number of Insiders after recent builds where when locking the PC after waking from sleep, the login screen contents would not load and they would not be able to log in again.
  • Voice output
  • We’ve added a new keyboard shortcut “Narrator Key + Ctrl + X” to copy what Narrator last said to the clipboard. This keyboard shortcut follows the pattern of Narrator + You can use these keyboard shortcuts to check and copy what Narrator spoke, which is useful if you want to quickly copy some content or descriptions or codes/numbers for use.
  • Speech output now automatically presents the content of an email in the new Outlook app, similar to Outlook Classic.
  • We fixed a performance issue where Narrator became slower after 15 minutes of continuous use of a single application. If you continue to experience performance delays, please report it via the Feedback Hub.
  • Fixed an issue where Narrator would add an additional “contains style” message when the focus was on text that contains style attributes such as bullets or numbers in applications such as Microsoft Edge, Teams, Outlook, etc.
-Fixed an issue where some dialogs in Narrator would not accept the 200% text scaling setting in Windows.
  • network If you use the netsh wlan show Networks command, you should be able to read SSIDs that are UTF-8 encoded. This means that Wi-Fi SSIDs containing Unicode characters (like emojis) should display correctly in netsh output. This change is currently rolling out, so not all Canary Channel Insiders will see it immediately.
  • input Corrected an issue that could result in the clipboard history of copied items not being displayed.
  • Taskbar Fixed an issue where, when multiple windows were open for an application on the taskbar, pressing WIN + multiple times would not switch between windows, e.g. B. by pressing WIN + 1.
  • Live subtitles Fixed an issue that caused Live Caption to crash for some people in the manual build when attempting to use it.
  • Miscellaneous Fixed an issue that caused Mica to not work correctly when using a slideshow as the desktop background.
