Early lead by Pucko

The game started with an offensive approach from Tus Heiligenkreuz, who put their opponents under pressure early on. This effort paid off in the 14th minute when Matej Pucko put the ball into the net and gave his team a 1-0 lead. The hosts were able to set the course for victory early on and set certain points for what happened on the pitch.

UFC Fehring tried to get back into the game after falling behind early, but the well-organized defense of Tus Heiligenkreuz, led by captain Johannes Driesner, withstood the visitors’ attacks. Despite some promising advances, Fehringer had no tangible success, which was also due to the good coordination of the Heiligenkreuz defense.

Outnumbered sword Fehring’s comeback

In the second half the intensity of the party continued to increase. UFC Fehring fought to score the equalizer but was pegged back in the 70th minute. Pascal Sommerfeld, the Fehringer captain, was shown a yellow-red card after a foul and had to leave the pitch early. When they were outnumbered, it was even more difficult for the guests to maintain the pressure.

With one more man on the pitch, Tus Heiligenkreuz took the opportunity to build up the lead. In the 78th minute, Patrick Unterkircher struck and increased the score to 2-0. In the final minutes of the game, Tus Heiligenkreuz controlled the proceedings and did not allow the guests any further chances. The final whistle in the 92nd minute sealed the not undeserved 2-0 win for the home team.

Voice about the game:

Horst Pfeifer (assistant coach Heiligenkreuz): “All-round praise for the whole team. That was a good performance and a happy, but not undeserved, victory. Things are looking very good at the moment, but we now have the whole team together. That makes a difference, of course. We are happy about the three points and the focus is already on the next game.
