Wisconsin U.S. Senate debate between Tammy Baldwin and Eric Hovde

MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – The Wisconsin U.S. Senate debate between Democratic Sen. Tammy Baldwin and Republican challenger Eric Hovde is underway.

The Wisconsin U.S. Senate debate will be broadcast live between Baldwin and Hovde

MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – Stations across Wisconsin, including WFRV, will broadcast a U.S. Senate debate Friday between Democratic Sen. Tammy Baldwin and Republican challenger Eric Hovde. The debate begins at 7 p.m

The WBA Foundation has a history of hosting debates spanning more than 34 years. This year’s debate involves a data team established in the 2022 election cycle that will provide background research on the topics raised during the debate during the broadcast.

Wisconsinites issued a reminder to ensure the safety of first responders ahead of National Move Over Day

“We are proud of the work our journalists from across Wisconsin put into this important television and radio hour for Wisconsin voters,” said Michelle Vetterkind, WBA president and CEO. “Our members take seriously the task of ensuring voters are informed before Election Day.”

The debate will be moderated by Jill Geisler, a longtime Wisconsin news professional, WBA Hall of Fame member, author and Bill Plante Chair in Leadership and Media Integrity at Loyola University Chicago. Panelists and data team members come from across Wisconsin.

The debate will also be rebroadcast on numerous Wisconsin stations prior to Election Day.

Election day is November 5th. Local 5 News plans to livestream this event.
