Promoted to the Middle Rhine League undefeated

Engelskirchen – The men’s 70 tennis team of ASC Loope were able to pop the corks after their victory at Blau-Weiß Aachen.

The men’s 70 tennis team from ASC Loope have perfected their promotion to the Middle Rhine League and even remained undefeated (9:1 points). In the last league match at Blau-Weiß Aachen, at least a draw was needed. After Alfred Schürmann and Jürgen Bergfelder had clearly won their singles, the singles of Volker Schumacher and Michael Hentrich had to be decided in a tiebreak. Hentrich prevailed and thus scored the decisive point. In the doubles, Alfred Schürmann with Günter Bönisch and Jürgen Bergfelder with Norbert Amelung were able to score further wins as a bonus, ensuring a 5:1 victory.
