Formula 1: Awesome return? Suddenly Sainz is making waves

When Lewis Hamilton’s dramatic move to Ferrari was announced at the beginning of the year, one Formula 1 driver was left behind: Carlos Sainz. The Spaniard had high hopes of a contract extension with the Scuderia. In the end, there was a big shock.

In the meantime, Sainz has found a new team in Formula 1. From 2025, he will be racing for Williams. But the Spanish star driver does not rule out driving for Ferrari again one day.

Formula 1: Awesome return from Sainz?

One person who suffered from the Hamilton hammer was Carlos Sainz. The Spaniard had to vacate his cockpit at Ferrari. His departure will take place at the end of the season. Then Sainz will be chasing points for Williams from 2025.

However, he has not ruled out a return to the Scuderia. Sainz explained to “DAZN” that he is parting ways with Ferrari on good terms. “That’s why you can never close the door to a team like Ferrari.” “Especially not when you consider that I still have five or ten years left in my career,” said the star driver.

“You never know what happens in life”

There was a spark between Sainz and Ferrari right from the start, even if that chapter is now coming to an end for now. His four years with the traditional Italian team were always appreciated.

“And that’s why I’m going to enjoy the last race and not think about anything else.” You never know what will happen next in life. “I’m really enjoying being a Ferrari driver and being a Ferrari driver for a few more races and I want to make the most of it,” said the 29-year-old, who will drive nine more Formula 1 races for the Scuderia.
