The presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump will take place on September 10 at 9 p.m. ET.

The US presidential debate – the biggest milestone of the 2024 presidential election – is just a few days away and both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are pulling out all the stops to ensure a clear victory.

Contrary to public claims that he does not need debate preparation, Donald Trump is holding informal meetings with his team of advisers, which includes Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz and former Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, according to an ABC News report. Tulsi once challenged Vice President Kamala Harris on the debate stage in 2019, the report said.

Gaetz is helping Trump prepare for tough questions about his legal troubles, the federal charges of election interference and the retention of secret documents, the criminal conviction in the New York hush money case and his stance on abortion.

Trump also addressed Harris’ previous debate against former Vice President Mike Pence, which included her headline-grabbing moment: “Mr. Vice President, I am speaking.”

Given growing concerns over his recent comments on child care, GOP members want to tread carefully. Recently, Trump stumbled through a question about his plans on child care and whether he would prioritize the issue. Trump spoke for a few minutes but was unable to answer the question: “Well, I would do that, and we sit down together. You know, I was someone — we had Senator Marco Rubio and my daughter Ivanka who were so influential on this issue. It’s a very important issue.”

Many questioned his mental abilities after this faux pas went viral.

Meanwhile, Harris was preparing for a traditional debate in Pittsburgh. On Sunday, she was caught walking around the city with Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff. When the media representative asked her if she was ready and if she could give her thumbs up, she simply ignored him and disappeared behind a building.

The ABC News presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump will take place on September 10 at 9 p.m. ET and will air on ABC and stream on ABC News Live, Disney+ and Hulu.
