Apple Event 2024 Live Updates: In a highly anticipated hardware event, Cupertino-based Apple unveiled a number of new products and features at its Glow Time event. The tech giant showcased its latest developments, including the iPhone 16 series, Apple Watch Series 10, the updated Apple Watch Ultra 2, and a revamped AirPods range, as well as some exciting updates to iOS 18.

AirPods

Apple has unveiled the AirPods 4, which come with several improvements thanks to the new H2 chip. These earbuds offer superior audio quality with enhanced bass and treble and feature personalized spatial audio. The AirPods 4 come in a compact USB-C case and cost $129, with a noise-canceling version available for $179. Additionally, the AirPods Max will be released in new shades – midnight, blue, purple, orange, and starlight – while retaining their $549 price tag. Notably, the AirPods Pro 2 will now include health-focused features, including a hearing aid feature.

iPhone 16 series

The iPhone 16 lineup includes the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max, all with Apple intelligence built in. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus feature several upgrades, including five new color options, a customizable action button, and a new camera control button. Both models feature a 48MP main camera with pixel binning, a 12MP telephoto camera with 2x zoom, and an improved ultra-wide camera with autofocus.

The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max feature larger displays – 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches respectively – and are powered by the advanced A18 Pro chipset, which is manufactured using a 3-nanometer process. The Pro model starts at $999 for 128GB, while the Pro Max starts at $1,199 for 256GB. Both models will be available for pre-order on September 13 and will be officially available in stores starting September 20.

Apple Watch Series 10 and updated Apple Watch Ultra 2

Apple Watch Series 10 features a larger, brighter OLED display that is now 40% brighter and 10% thinner and lighter. Series 10 introduces polished titanium to replace stainless steel and offers new bands to match. It includes the new S10 chipset with a 4-core Neural Engine and offers sleep apnea tracking, a feature that will also be available on Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2.

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 remains largely unchanged, but in addition to the existing Natural Titanium model, it gets a new color option: Satin Black Titanium.

Overall, Apple’s Glow Time event unveiled major updates across its entire product line and promised users improved features and capabilities.
