Two suspects arrested for involvement in August 2024 shooting in Moss Point

MOSS POINT, Mississippi (WLOX) – Two suspects have been arrested for their involvement in a shooting in Moss Point that left one person dead.

On August 6, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Moss Point Police were called to a home in the 3600 block of Howze Street.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the body of 43-year-old Dwan Williams, who had died from gunshot wounds.

After investigations with the assistance of surrounding authorities, the authorities were able to arrest two suspects related to the case:

  • Lorenzo Patterson Jr., 24, of Moss Point, was arrested by Moss Point patrol officers on September 7. He is charged with aiding and abetting a felony and was booked into the Jackson County Adult Detention Center.
  • Ronald Polk Jr., 30, of D’Iberville was arrested by Gulfport police on Sept. 9. Polk is charged with felony assault and was transported to Moss Point Police Department for registration and then to the Jackson County Adult Detention Center.

So far, no bail has been set for any of the suspects.
