“I’ll talk to him”: Eintracht coach annoyed with his match winner

For striker Omar Marmoush of Eintracht Frankfurt, his successful return to Wolfsburg still has a small aftermath. The 25-year-old scored both goals for Eintracht in the 2-1 victory in the Bundesliga against VfL Wolfsburg.

However, his coach Dino Toppmöller did not like the fact that the Egyptian showed a provocative celebration gesture in front of the Wolfsburg fans after his first goal. “I didn’t think that was good. I’ll talk to him about it,” said the Eintracht coach after the game.

Marmoush was under contract with VfL from 2017 to 2023 before moving to Frankfurt on a free transfer. There he appreciates the trust of the coach and club management, which he often missed in Wolfsburg. The VfL fans booed him before the game and especially after the goal to make it 0-1 in the 30th minute. Marmoush then demonstratively turned towards the fans and covered both ears.
