Hollywood actress and film producer Reese Witherspoon loves to reveal a German: 48-year-old entrepreneur Oliver Haarmann. There have been rumors about this for weeks. Now the US magazine “People” has reported on it – and also provided photos of the two on a date.

The paparazzi photos were not the first sighting of the two. Photos from celebrity magazine “Page Six” also show the two with the actress’ two sons. According to “People”, however, the relationship between the two is “relaxed”.

Oliver Haarmann is not in the film business, but in the financial sector. He is the head of a private equity firm that provides over-the-counter companies in need of financing with either equity or equity-like financing. “Searchlight Capital Partners,” as the company is called, has offices in New York, London, Toronto and Miami. According to its own information, it manages assets of 15.1 billion US dollars (13.6 billion euros).

The German entrepreneur studied at Brown University in the USA, earned his MBA at Harvard Business School and was a senior partner at the investment firm KKR in London before founding Searchlight. According to Bild, he was married to the American entrepreneur Mala Gaonkar, former portfolio manager at the investment firm Lone Pine Capital.

Witherspoon was married to actor Jim Toht from 2011 to 2023. Forbes estimates her net worth at $440 million (€398 million). Her production company Hello Sunshine produced the film Gone Girl as well as the series Big Little Lies and The Morning Show, among others.
