Complete success for World Cleanup Day at McDonald’s Austria – mnews – medianet.at

VIENNA.. In order to set an example against the careless disposal of garbage in nature and for responsible recycling, McDonald’s Austria invited people to collect garbage together on World Cleanup Day on September 21, 2024 – and with great success: Thanks to the efforts of McDonald’s guests, employees, franchisees and interested parties, 2965 kilograms of garbage were collected throughout Austria.

After the successful premiere last year, last Saturday it was again “Ready, set, go” across Austria when the system catering market leader invited people to over 50 local restaurants on the occasion of World Cleanup Day. Franchisees and their teams set out across Austria together with committed guests from the region to collect discarded waste from parking lots, roadsides and meadows.

“In our role as the market leader in system catering and a meeting place for all generations, we have a special responsibility when it comes to anti-littering, which we have been fulfilling for over 15 years in the form of regional partnerships, awareness campaigns and special activities.” “With World Cleanup Day at McDonald’s, we have together set a strong and important example for our environment and I would like to thank our guests, our employees and franchisees for their great commitment and dedication,” said McDonald’s Managing Director Nikolaus Piza during the event at Vienna’s Handelskai. As a small thank you, McDonald’s invited all participants to a classic McMenu after the joint garbage collection.
