Extensive update for Google Maps and Earth: Completely new possibilities for users

Google has optimized its AI models to deliver even more detailed satellite images. The new Cloud Score+ technology intelligently removes clouds, fog, and other atmospheric disturbances without affecting natural features such as snow or ice. The result is clearer, sharper images that should give us an even better view of our planet.

Street View is also being expanded. Numerous countries, including Bosnia, Namibia and Paraguay, will be provided with Street View images for the first time. In many of the countries already covered, there are also new images that will give us an even more detailed view of cities, landscapes and sights.

Google Earth is also set to become even more interesting: with new historical images going back up to 80 years, we can observe the changes in our environment over time. Whether it’s the development of a big city or the effects of climate change – Google Earth will make history visible.
