Sam Walker has been ordered to appear in court in Ireland following his arrest. The 41-year-old appeared before Dublin District Court on 23 September, where he was remanded in custody until today, Thursday 26 September, when he is due to appear again.

He was charged with several traffic offences, including driving with a fake British and Irish driving licence, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.


He is due to appear before Dublin District Court at 10:30am today. Walker is charged with the following:

  • On 21/09/2024 at Aston Quay Dublin 2 in the said District Court for the Dublin Metropolitan District, you had in your custody and control, without lawful authority or excuse, an item, namely a UK driving licence, which you knew to be a counterfeit item, in contravention of section 29(2) and (6) of the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act 2001.
  • On 21/09/2024 at Aston Quay Dublin 2 in the said District Court for the Dublin Metropolitan District, you had in your custody and control, without lawful authority or excuse, an item, namely an Irish driving licence, which you knew to be a counterfeit item, in contravention of section 29(2) and (6) of the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act 2001.
  • On 21 September 2024, you drove a motor vehicle with registration number KT16 OYW at Aston Quay Dublin 2, a public place in the said District Court area of ​​the Dublin Metropolitan District, without provisionally holding a valid driving licence and driving such a vehicle, contrary to section 38(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1961 and contrary to section 38(2)(a)(ii) of the Road Traffic Act 1961, as replaced by section 12(a) of the Road Traffic Act 2006.
  • On 21.09.2024, a motor vehicle bearing the registration number KT16 OYW was in use at Aston Quay Dublin 2, a public place in the said District Court area of ​​the Dublin Metropolitan District. Neither a motor insurer nor an exonerated person shall be liable for any injury caused at that time by the negligent use of the said vehicle, and in respect of which no approved policy of insurance under Part VI of the Road Traffic Act 1961, as amended by Part VI of the Road Traffic Act 1968, as amended, was in force at that time. This was contrary to section 56(1) and (3) of the Road Traffic Act 1961, as amended by section 18 of the Road Traffic Act 2006.
