Minecraft The Creaking leaked, here’s everything we know

Minecraft Live 2024 is on the way, but ahead of release, Mojang accidentally leaked details about a new biome and mob, aka The Creaking.

Given that there would no longer be mob voting, many fans were worried that Minecraft Live would never be the same. When a large part of the stream and a part that was full of community collaboration is removed, the announcements can be pretty sparse.

That was until Mojang accidentally leaked some important details about the next update, proving that the stream will likely be full of new biomes, experiences, and the mysterious new enemy mob The Creaking. So here’s everything we know about the current leaks, where they’ll be found, and what they might look like.

Leaks

On September 25, Mojang updated its website and gave a glimpse of some important announcements for Minecraft Live. Although the page was quickly deleted, fans took pictures and saved them to the website’s archive.

The page detailed “A first look at the Pale Garden and its hostile mob – The Creaking,” proving that we’ll likely get a brand new mob to fight in the upcoming update. Additionally, we know that the mob will live in the new biome.

Although these are just leaks, the fact that they were released by Minecraft itself proves the legitimacy of the upcoming announcement.

What will it look like?

Of course, with so little information, appearance, movement, and details are pure speculation. However, Mojang hasn’t been too subtle with its teasers, especially after the leak.

They shared an image on their X account, showing off some key planning images with the words “Hostile??” and “Don’t look.” Additionally, some new blocks seem to be popping up, with the white wooden blocks not resembling anything we’ve seen before and taking cues from the Pale Garden design.

Many fans speculate that the Creaker will be a wooden golem built from the wood of the Pale Garden: “The creaking sounds like some kind of old wooden golem protecting the garden.” Of course, wood creaks, so it makes sense that it’s a golem, but these are usually only hostile if you annoy them, so that might not be entirely accurate.

To help fans decipher the design, a TikTok was released showing an almost Enderman-like design with the caption “Don’t look away…or else.” Interestingly, this contradicts the “Don’t look away” words from the X-post.

With speculation that Pale Garden is the highly anticipated end biome fans have been waiting for, it would make sense that a new Enderman would appear. Perhaps this Enderman will require you to keep an eye out or he’ll attack? He’ll function as the opposite of the mobs we already know?

Of course, only time will tell. As we learn more about the mob, we will update this article, so check back soon.
