“Celebrity Big Brother” starts soon: Three more candidates confirmed

The new season of “Celebrity Big Brother” starts on October 7th. Sat.1 is heating up the anticipation of fans by announcing three more candidates.

A few days before the start of the twelfth season of “Celebrity Big Brother”, Sat.1 announced three more residents on its Instagram channel. When selecting the cast, it was important to appeal to different target groups.

Among others, actor Jochen Horst will be taking part in the show. The 63-year-old is best known for his role as the chief detective in the crime series of the same name, “Balko”. Over the course of his career, he has also appeared in other well-known TV productions such as “Das Traumschiff” and “Rote Rosen”.

Jochen Horst says he loves social experiments and has a bet going with his family about his participation in “Celebrity Big Brother”. In an Instagram video, he explains that his relatives doubt that he will last longer than four days on the show. “I’m keeping that bet,” says the series actor.

For Jochen Horst, it will be the first reality TV format of his career. This already gives him something in common with TikTok star Sinan Movez. The 19-year-old is making his television debut on “Celebrity Big Brother”. According to his own statements, the biggest challenge for him will be having to hand over his cell phone. The social media star entertains 2.6 million followers on his TikTok channel “Sini Mini”. His motto for “Celebrity Big Brother” was: “I’m not just going into the house to post, I want to win the whole thing too.”

Of the three newcomers, Cecilia Asoro has the most reality TV experience. The 28-year-old started her career in 2015 on “Germany’s Next Top Model”. This was followed by further appearances on the RTL dating shows “Take Me Out” and “The Bachelor”. Last year she moved into the jungle camp. She has a warning for her future “Celebrity Big Brother” roommates: “I don’t mince my words. So watch out!”

At the beginning of the week, Sat.1 announced Verena Kerth and former DSDS candidate Daniel Lopes as new residents. In August, the participation of reality star Mike Heiter, footballer Max Kruse and actress Mimi Fiedler was also announced. This means that eight candidates are now known. In total, there are said to be “more than ten residents”.

The twelfth season of “Celebrity Big Brother” starts on October 7th on Sat.1 and on Joyn. For a period of 14 days, the celebrity residents will be under camera surveillance 24 hours a day.
