Live Poker | WPT World Championship Schedule Announced with $5M Freeroll

The big showdown of the World Poker Tour (WPT) is taking place at the Wynn Resort Las Vegas from December 3rd to 23rd. This year there is no guarantee at the $10,400 WPT World Championship event, but there is a $5,000,000 freeroll – although not for everyone.

The tournament schedule for the WSOP Paradise has been around for a long time, and now the competition has also presented the schedule. The biggest surprise is that the $10k WPT World Championship event has no prize money guarantee, but in return they have announced a $5,000,000 freeroll.

Last year the $40,000,000 guarantee cost a lot. The event alone had a quick win of $2.5 million. put it on top and there were also plenty of sponsored tickets. This year they are leaving out the guarantee that the $10k WPT World Championship event itself should be incentive enough. There are three starting days (December 14th – 16th), and it will take until December 21st when the new WPT World Champion will be determined.

The $1,100 WPT Prime Championship event (December 8th to 14th) has an impressive $5,000,000 in the pot, although last year the 10,512 entries generated a prize pool of $10,196,640. The $1,100 Ladies Championship also comes with $250,000 GTD, while the seniors can look forward to $500,000 in the $1,100 Seniors Championship.

There are also numerous side events with some strong guarantees – the $800 NLH ($1,000,000) opens, and the $1,600 Mystery Bounty with $1,000,000 GTD is also impressive. Mixed games ensure plenty of variety on the game plan. The high rollers also get their money’s worth, so there’s a $25,800 WPT Alpha 8 event.

And then there’s the $5,000,000 freeroll, which starts on December 13th and runs over three days. While $1,000,000 in prize money awaits the winner of the freeroll, there are also 100 x $10,400 tickets to the WPT World Championship event. The first influencers are already giving out packages, and a total of 2,000 “invitations” are being given out through a variety of campaigns. Or you meet the other qualification for the freeroll ticket – you register on the new ClubWPT Gold site. It is an online poker platform primarily for the US market. This means that the target area, namely the USA, is defined and the freeroll will not become a magnet for Europe.
