The Shark 8 is Blackview’s current flagship smartphone. It doesn’t just apply to the price, which is standard at 200 euros. The specifications of the display, battery and other hardware indicate an extremely good price-performance ratio. This gets even better if you access the Amazon offer with a voucher and gift.

The display of the Blackview Shark 8 is 6.78 inches. Unfortunately it is not AMOLED, but IPS, which is completely normal in this price range. It scores points with a 2.4K resolution, which corresponds to elongated Full HD with 1,080 x 2,460 pixels, as well as a refresh rate of 120 Hertz, which can be switched to 60 Hertz. Even the brand new Apple iPhone 16 only has 60 Hertz.

The Mediatek Helio G99 is used as the processor. As long as you don’t play complex 3D games on your smartphone, it should easily get you through everyday life with smooth performance. The same can be said about the 5,000 milliamp hour battery. This supports fast charging with 33 watts.

There is also a lot of memory built in. The variant of the Blackview Shark 8 on offer has 256 GB of storage. With the iPhone 16, the upgrade from 128 GB to 256 GB alone quickly costs as much (130 euros) as the Shark 8 in total (158 euros). In addition, the mass storage should be able to be expanded to two TB.

The Shark 8 has eight GB of RAM. That’s good for this price range, where you often find six GB, sometimes four GB. The product description on Amazon has 16 GB of RAM, but eight GB of that is virtual RAM. That’s still better than eight GB of physical RAM alone. If you’re hoping for a lot of apps, that can make a real difference.

In the device information, Blackview writes that the 64-megapixel main camera and the 13-megapixel front camera are from Samsung. This is not a guarantee of a good camera, but it promises good results for this price range. Especially since several reviews on Amazon emphasize how good the camera is for such an inexpensive smartphone.
