The next international tennis tournament is coming to Hamburg

The next international tennis tournament will soon take place in Hamburg. After the ATP and WTA tournaments at the Hamburg Open, the Hamburg Tennis Association (HTV) will now be hosting the “ITF 75 Ladies Hamburg” in the association hall in Hamburg-Horn from the end of October, worth a total of 60,000 US dollars.

The tournament for 75 world ranking points and around 9,000 euros in prize money will take place in Horn from October 27th to November 3rd. The organizer promises “top-class international tennis” and a supporting program on the final day including children’s events and wheelchair tennis.

“I am very proud that after the ATP Challenger in March we can also host an international women’s tournament in the Hamburg Association Hall.” “The ECE Ladies Hamburg Open at Rothenbaum also showed that Hamburg is interested in international women’s tennis,” tournament director Björn Kroll is quoted as saying in a press release.

A week before the start of ITF 75 (October 17th to 20th), the association is also organizing a “wildcard tournament” in which the winner can earn a wildcard for the 32-player main draw. According to the association, entry to the tournament is free on all days.
