Canceled shows will not be rescheduled

The scheduled concert on Tuesday, September 24th at TD Pavilion at The Mann in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and the Wednesday, September 25th date at Radio City Music in New York City will not be rescheduled, the announcement states. Instead, ticket holders will be notified via email and will automatically receive a refund.

The 84-year-old Ring embarked on the 12-stop tour on September 7, which began in San Diego, California, accompanied by bandmates Steve Lukather, Colin Hay, Warren Ham, Hamish Stuart, Gregg Bissonette and Buck Johnson. “As always, Ringo and the All Starrs send peace and love to their fans and hope to see them again soon,” the band’s post reads.

Fans react to canceled shows

Fans and commentators overwhelmingly supported the event, although some expressed disappointment that Tuesday’s show was canceled just hours before it began.

“PLEASE reschedule the appointment. “I won’t wait another billion years for another tour,” pleaded one fan. “Please reschedule, I really wanted to see you,” said another.

“I’m sad we won’t be able to see him tonight, but first and foremost we just want him to be healthy and happy! Get well soon, Ringo,” one popular comment read, along with another that read, “I’m so disappointed but your health comes first. I will always love you.

Starr has been touring with a rotating cast of All-Starr band members since 1989 and released a new EP called Crooked Boy in April of this year.
