Legends match – The “Copa Pele” team meets Schremser legends

There will be a special treat for football fans on October 5th in the Schrems Elch Arena. The Copa Pelé team is visiting the granite city and is competing against a legendary team from ASV Schrems.

The Copa Pele, which opens for the first time in the Gmünd district, is the legendary team of the Austrian national team, peppered with former heroes such as Andreas Herzog, Toni Pfeffer, Thomas Flögel, Michael Hatz, Mario Haas, Erwin Hoffer, Andreas Ivanschitz, Didi Kühbauer, Andi Ogris or Peter Pacult and many more.

Schremser Legends: The “Who’s Who” of the past decades

Exactly which team will play in Schrems will only be decided shortly before the game. ASV section chairman Claus Tampier promises an absolute highlight. The Copa Pele is known for playing with humor and dedication to give fans legendary moments. There will also be an autograph session after the game.

Speaking of legendary: This also applies to the ASV team. The “who’s who” of the past decades comes together there. In goal, alongside Maximilian and Jürgen Zauner, Günther Stolhofer will celebrate a comeback in Schrems. Leopold Köhler, Zenon Malek, Ljubo Petrovic and Richard Zarycka, among others, play in defense.

As a preliminary game there is the women’s national league

In midfield, legendary legionnaires such as Ondrej Houda, Pavel Leden and Lukas Adam will play with other former crowd favorites such as Alfons Baumgartner, Mario Brunner, Patrick Budschedl, Wolfgang Meyer and Edmund Müller. The exceptional goalscorer Pepi Hejna has even announced her presence in the storm, and Christian Kellner, Walter Ölzant and Rene Breit will also be part of the party.

The game is played twice for 35 minutes. There is also a large supporting program with a tombola. Tickets are available in advance on the club homepage as well as in the Spazierer bookstore, the Tischlerei Ableidinger, the Rubicko tobacco shop and in Midus. In the run-up to the legendary game, the Schrems women play their state league home game against Brunn/Altenmarkt.
