With just over a month before the election, the 2024 vice presidential candidates have an opportunity to enter the debate.

The vice presidential debate comes about three weeks after the first debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris on September 10th.

Shortly thereafter, Democratic Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota and Republican Senator JD Vance agreed to participate in the debate hosted by CBS.

When is the vice presidential debate?

The debate begins October 1 at 8 p.m. Central Time. It is scheduled to take place at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City. The debate will last 90 minutes.

Who are the moderators of the vice president debate?

The vice president debate will be moderated by Norah O’Donnell, anchor and managing editor of “CBS Evening News.” She will be accompanied by Margaret Brennan, host of “Face the Nation” and foreign affairs correspondent for CBS News.
