Volunteers responded to the call for World Cleanup Day in Forchheim

Around a dozen volunteers followed Forchheim for Future’s call for World Cleanup Day. Like many groups around the world, they collect garbage in their own region on this day. The group discovered corners in the city that could quickly be described as “garbage dumps”, where incredible things, some of which had already grown in plants, appeared that clearly did not belong there. Tolerance from the eyes and nose was sometimes required. After about an hour, the eager collectors had filled a considerable number of bags and, among other things, contributed to reducing potential microplastics.
