Windows Server 2025 26296 LTSC vNext as a new Insider also as ISO

With a week’s delay, it’s the server insiders’ turn again today. Microsoft makes Windows Server 2025 26296.5001 (ge_prerelease.240920-1808) available for download. The expiry date was changed at the beginning of September, so you now have almost a year of peace again.

Here again we would like to point out that Microsoft is not making any SDK, ADK, etc. available as ISOs for the time being. And also reminded again that Windows Server 2025 Preview Insiders can download and install directly from the Windows Server desktop via the Windows Admin Center using the in-OS app that handles the downloading and installation process.

Known issues

• Sysprep cannot generalize images. There is a known issue in build 26280.5000 that prevents images from being generalized via Sysprep. The issue is known and will be fixed in a future release.

• The server version will run until September 15, 2025.

• Data Center: 2KNJJ-33Y9H-2GXGX-KMQWH-G6H67
• The Azure version does not accept keys.
