🆕 Successor for patrons: VfB appoints new chairman of the supervisory board

After turbulent months in the club’s management, VfB Stuttgart is heading towards more moderate times. For the self-proclaimed “interim solution”, Tanja Gönner as head of the supervisory board has now been elected as the club’s internal successor.

Dietmar Allgaier, current interim president of the Swabians, was elected as the new chairman of the committee. “The supervisory board agreed that the chairmanship should pass back into the hands of the executive committee as soon as the conditions for this are present again and the club is back on track,” said Gönner, explaining the decision in favor of her successor on the club’s website.

Peter Schymon remains first deputy, Lutz Meschke is another deputy. Gönner himself also remains a member of the supervisory board. There is also no need to fear a concentration of power at VfB. Allgaier will step down from his presidency in spring 2025. A successor will then be elected at the general meeting.
