Coldplay breaks Taylor Swift’s record with concert series at Wembley Stadium

The band Coldplay will play ten shows at Wembley in London next year. Several media outlets report this unanimously. According to information from “Spiegel”, the band also sets a new record. So far, US pop star Taylor Swift and the band Take That had topped the list at Wembley Stadium with eight performances.

According to the band’s tour schedule, the performances will take place in late August and early September 2025. According to the BBC, only six shows were planned, but due to high demand, four more concerts were added.

Tickets sold out in just a few hours

According to “Spiegel”, the Coldplay tour is taking place on the occasion of the band’s tenth album. “Moon Music” is scheduled to be released on October 4, 2024. Tickets for the concerts in London could be purchased on September 27th from 10 a.m. However, they sold out within hours, according to the tour page.

However, the tour page says that there will be another sale. Accordingly, it will be possible to get a limited number of tickets for the shows in London on November 22nd from 12 noon. The cards should then cost 24 euros, plus fees. According to information from “Spiegel”, the reason for such low prices is that Coldplays has forgone the so-called dynamic pricing tool from Ticketmaster. In this system, prices are calculated based on demand. For example, this drove up ticket prices for concerts by the band Oasis enormously.
