Dramatic away win: UFC Fehring defeats SV Lebring – Football Styria – results, tables and goal scorers from all STMK leagues.

SV Tiba-Gady-Raiffeisen Lebring met UFC Fehring in the 9th round of the state league and narrowly had to admit defeat 2:3. The party was competitive from start to finish. Four of the five goals came in the first half, setting the stage for an exciting finish early on.

Lightning start from SV Lebring

The game started with a bang. SV Lebring was able to take the lead through Jonas Lang in the 4th minute. Lang took advantage of one of the first opportunities and put the home team ahead 1-0. However, the joy only lasted for a short time. Just one minute later, Felix Glanz managed to equalize the score at 1-1 for UFC Fehring. Glanz’s quick counterattack and precise finishing ability show the guests’ offensive strength.

The UFC Fehring didn’t let up and increased the pressure on SV Lebring. In the 29th minute it was Nejc Omladic who gave the guests the lead for the first time. After a successful combination, Omladic was able to finish ice cold and made it 1:2. SV Lebring was shocked, but couldn’t find a way to respond immediately. Instead, the UFC Fehring continues to extend the lead. In the 40th minute, Felix Glanz was given the chance to increase the score to 1:3 with a penalty. The striker stayed cool and converted confidently. The UFC Fehring went into the half-time break with a comfortable two-goal lead.

Exciting second half

After the break, SV Lebring pushed for the next goal, while UFC Fehring was anxious to manage the lead and possibly extend it through counterattacks. The hosts repeatedly came dangerously in front of the goal, but initially without any tangible success.

In the 70th minute, the hoped-for chance for SV Lebring came. A foul in the penalty area led to a penalty, which Nikica Filipovic safely converted. With his goal to make it 2:3, hope arose again for the home team. SV Lebring now threw everything forward to force the equalizer. But UFC Fehring’s defense stood firm and didn’t allow any further hits.

Thomas Böcksteiner (sports director Lebring): “After a dream start for us with Lang making it 1-0 after three minutes, the goals we conceded are reminiscent of slapstick a la Charlie Chaplin. Deserved 1:3 deficit at the break with unbelievable own mistakes. The reaction was good in the second half until the 80th minute. The opponent was pushed completely onto the defensive, but 45 good minutes are not enough.
