Former WWE superstar Alberto Del Rio doesn’t understand why people “destroy.” [Vince] McMahon”

Vince McMahon had no choice but to resign from WWE shortly after selling the company to Endeavor (resulting in it merging with UFC under the TKO Group banner).

As you probably know, this came after the former WWE chairman faced serious allegations of sexual abuse and misconduct, which is why he was embroiled in a lawsuit from former WWE employee Janel Grant. We don’t yet know whether criminal charges will be filed.

While the details revealed in Grant’s lawsuit are arguably the most serious, several women have come forward to make allegations against McMahon, and that made it impossible for the billionaire to dismiss them in the same way he has in the past (WWE referee Rita Chatterton accused him). rape in the mid-1980s).

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio was arrested in 2020 for allegedly mistreating and sexually abusing his then-girlfriend. He was later formally charged with aggravated kidnapping and sexual assault, but a “missing witness” led to the criminal case being dropped.

Now he has spoken out in favor of his old boss.

“To be honest, I don’t know what will happen because the legal system works differently in every state. But I can tell you this: The legal system in America works, and it’s fair, and they always find the truth.” Whenever they find the truth, whatever the truth is, it becomes a question for one side or the other be the decision whether they can accept the truth or not. I say this because that’s exactly what happened to me.

“The truth is out there. It’s up to people to see it, but there are still some people who don’t want to see the truth. For some stupid reason they want to keep attacking a man who does nothing more than work, work, work and provide for his family and continue to do his best for the wrestling business. So when it comes to Mr. McMahon, it will happen the same way, and they will bring the truth to light. Then it’s a matter of people believing this truth or continuing to attack Mr. McMahon.

“Whatever it is, I have to say this because I don’t think it’s fair that the world is just destroying him these days. They’re just destroying Mr. McMahon and forgetting the fact that none of this is so nice.” Business would be the way it is today if it weren’t for him. The rest, the other things, the personal things must be completely separated from what he has created in our industry.

“I tell everyone out there. The legal system will find the truth. Be ready whenever that happens. I hope both sides get what they deserve.”

Of all the people who have defended McMahon, Del Rio’s word doesn’t exactly carry much weight among pro wrestling fans. He has repeatedly said that he hopes to return to WWE under the Triple H regime, and while he was never found guilty, we don’t see that ever happening.
