UFC Rohrbach-Berg still has to wait for its first home win and can’t get past a draw against DSG Union Perg! – Football Upper Austria – results, tables and goal scorers from all Upper Austria leagues.

Despite absolutely appealing performances, the DSG Union HABAU Perg has not really moved from the spot in the table in the last few weeks – the Prandstätter protégés have been waiting for complete success in the LT1 OÖ league for five rounds. Now you have a thoroughly explosive derby against the newly promoted UFC Hama Trucks Rohrbach-Berg. The league newcomer has also stumbled in the recent past and is still waiting for its first home win this season. Yesterday evening the last series was extended – despite being in the lead for a while, the UFC couldn’t get beyond 1:1.

Two times aluminum but no goals in the first half

The guest from Perg initially found the encounter a little better, especially since the opponent initially concentrated on defensive work and accordingly left the ball to the Prandstätter team. A tactical approach that, from the league newcomer’s point of view, should work across the board – they only allowed a few dangerous actions from the opposing defense line in their own half and, in return, they always knew how to create offensive needle pricks after winning the ball. The guests, on the other hand, show once again this season that they undoubtedly have quality in the attack department, but that they don’t bring it onto the pitch too often – they simply acted too imprecisely in the crucial zone. In addition, the Prandstätter team is also experiencing bad luck these days and weeks – when they shoot from twenty meters, the ball only hits the crossbar. But the home side weren’t unlucky in the first half either; they also only hit the woodwork after a corner. So it went into the break goalless.

Aygün dust-off secures Perg a point

After the break, the characteristics of this encounter changed in that the home team now maintained control and increased the pace of their game. Furthermore, the Eisschiel team promptly presented themselves as ice-cold in front of the opponent’s goal and were immediately rewarded for a strong opening phase in the second half: Markus Gahleitner missed a long shot from a considerable distance in the net to make it 1-0 (53rd). It was a goal that should suddenly wake up the guests from Perg: The Prandstätter protégés now continuously increased the pressure on their opponents, pushed them deep in their half with really strong ball relays at times and in this way forced a large number of set-piece situations . After one of these, they finally struck hard in an exciting final phase when Cem Aygün was there after a free kick in the 83rd minute and safely used the rebound to equalize. As a result, neither team was able to score the decisive goal – it remained a 1-1 draw, which was not enough in both camps to be able to move away from the bottom of the table for the time being.

Vote for the game

Franz Hofer (Sporting Director UFC Rohrbach-Berg):

“It was an intense derby. Overall, it’s a fair draw. A win would of course have been good for both teams. That was the final bottom line for both teams, but it wasn’t possible that day.”

The best: Matyas Markytan (ST, UFC Rohrbach-Berg) and Markus Derntl (IV, DSG Union Perg)
