A Greek officer’s rifle found in Buffalo leads to two arrests

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Two Buffalo men were arrested after an AR-15 rifle that was stolen from a Greek police officer’s personal vehicle was recovered in Buffalo.

According to GPD, the rifle was stolen from the officer’s vehicle between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. on July 9 while it was parked at an ESPORTA on West Ridge Road in Greece.

According to officials, 41-year-old Pierre McCullen and 53-year-old Christopher McCullen were charged with three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

According to Greek police, both men had previous convictions. The arrests were made as part of an ongoing investigation by detectives from the Greek Criminal Investigation Department with the assistance of the Buffalo Police Department.

News 8 has reached out to Greek police to determine whether disciplinary action will be taken against the officer whose gun was stolen from his vehicle and has not yet received a response.
